Description
Hikvision IC S50 Smart Card
The Hikvision IC S50 Card functions as a high-frequency passive credential for secure physical access control systems. This contactless smart card utilizes the NXP Mifare S50 protocol. It operates at a carrier frequency of 13.56 MHz. The internal architecture includes 1024 bytes of EEPROM memory divided into 16 sectors. Each sector contains four blocks of 16 bytes each. This segmentation allows for multi-application support on a single physical token. System administrators can assign different access rights to specific sectors for varied facility requirements.
Key Features
Memory Architecture
The internal storage provides 1KB of EEPROM memory organized into sixteen independent sectors for diverse data applications.Security Protocols
- Mutual three-pass authentication mechanism ensures secure data exchange.
- Individual 48-bit keys for each sector prevent unauthorized access to specific data blocks.
- A 4-byte unique identifier (UID) provides hardware-level tracking for every credential.
Physical Durability
The high-quality PVC construction withstands environmental stress and frequent use in various climates.
The integrated circuit complies with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A communication standards. It supports a data transfer rate of 106 kbit/s. This proximity credential allows for non-line-of-sight identification within a range of up to 10 centimeters. Actual read distance depends on the antenna design of the connected reader hardware. The device employs an anti-collision logic circuit. This allows the reader to distinguish between multiple cards in the induction field simultaneously. The proximity token operates efficiently without an internal battery. It draws power from the electromagnetic field generated by the reader antenna.
The card adheres to the CR80 standard dimensions. This ensures compatibility with standard ID card printers for thermal transfer or dye-sublimation printing. The surface finish supports high-resolution photo printing and text overlays. The data retention period for stored information reaches ten years. The internal chip supports approximately 100,000 write cycles before memory degradation occurs. Technical staff can deploy these credentials in corporate offices, residential complexes, or industrial sites. The cards facilitate efficient entry management without physical contact. This reduces wear on both the credential and the reader hardware.

We’ve tried a few generic Mifare cards before but these Hikvision IC S50 ones are much more durable. The 1K memory is sufficient for our staff data and they don’t snap easily like the cheap ones you find in some shops downtown. Delivered to our office in Westlands within the same day I ordered. Highly recommend if you want something that won’t fail after a month of use.

Picked these for our gym membership system. The 13.56MHz frequency is stable and we haven’t had issues with read errors so far. Only giving 4 stars because the surface is very glossy, so you have to be careful when printing IDs on them to avoid smudging if your ribbon isn’t high quality.

Good cards. They work perfectly with our office access control system and the price is quite fair for a pack. Delivery was fast too.
