Description
Hand-Held Security Screening Wand
The Garrett SuperWand is a hand-held metal detector that provides a 360° detection field with tip pinpointing. It detects ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel objects without manual sensitivity adjustment. The elongated profile scans from head to foot in single passes.
The unit operates at 95 kHz with a 2 kHz audio output. A 9.5-inch scan area covers large sections per pass, and automatic retuning holds optimum sensitivity during use. Three-colour LEDs indicate power, low battery and alarm states, while the alarm can be audible or silent vibrate.
A single 9V battery delivers up to 80 hours of normal operation. The optional NiMH pack provides up to 20 hours per 12-hour recharge. The injection-moulded housing isolates the coil for impact absorption, and the grip fits standard hand sizes. Operating temperature spans -35°F to 158°F at up to 95% non-condensing humidity.
