A3 Monochrome Multifunction for Departmental Print Rooms
The Epson AM-M5500 is an A3 monochrome multifunction unit for departmental print rooms. It prints, scans and copies at 55 ISO ppm on A4. PrecisionCore Heat-Free heads eject ink without applying heat, which lowers power draw during long runs.
A Micro TFP printhead carries 7,230 black nozzles and fires 3.8 pl droplets at 600 x 2400 dpi. A3 simplex runs at 32 ppm and A3 duplex at 18 ppm. Two 500-sheet cassettes plus a 150-sheet multipurpose tray give 1,150 sheets standard, and the high-capacity feeder lifts that ceiling to 5,150 sheets.
The C-shaped paper path shortens the chassis to 555 x 620 x 963 mm at 98.2 kg. Standard interfaces are SuperSpeed USB 3.2 and Gigabit Ethernet; Wi-Fi and NFC are optional. Copying draws 115 W, ready mode holds 46 W, and sleep drops to 1 W.
