Description
Line-Interactive Backup for Retail and Office Loads
The Dahua PFM3350 UPS is a line-interactive 600 VA / 360 W supply built for 230 V single-phase mains in Kenya and the wider East African market. It ships with a three-pin input plug and two output sockets for tills, routers, NVRs and desktop PCs.
The unit accepts 170–280 VAC at 50/60 Hz and draws 2.9 A, so it rides through the deep sags that precede many grid outages. Digital voltage stabilisation trims the output to 230 VAC at 2.7 A without switching to battery for every dip. Transfer to battery takes a typical 4–8 ms, short enough for switch-mode power supplies to hold their rails.
Output waveform is pure sine in AC mode and a simulated sine on battery. A single 7 Ah lead-acid block charges at 1 A to 90% in roughly four to six hours. Protections cover overload, short circuit, overcharge and over-discharge; a 110% AC overload holds for five minutes before shutdown, while 120% trips immediately. The chassis measures 298.4 × 101.5 × 142.2 mm and weighs 4.4 kg.
Key Features
Wide 170–280 VAC Input Window
The rectifier and AVR stage tolerate sustained undervoltage and overvoltage without draining the battery.Digital Voltage Stabilisation
Buck and boost taps correct the output to 230 VAC nominal before the inverter engages.4–8 ms Transfer to Battery
Typical switching time keeps ATX and PoE supplies within hold-up tolerance during a cut.Battery and Charging Profile
- 1 × 7 Ah sealed lead-acid block, factory fitted
- 1 A charging current with a 13.7 V per-block limit
- 4–6 hours to 90% state of charge
Tiered Overload Response
A 110% load rides for five minutes, while a 120% load shuts down at once and reports a fault. Two Output Sockets, 1.2 m Lead
The three-pin input plug feeds two protected outlets for downstream equipment.LED Status and Audible Alarms
Green for mains, flashing yellow for battery and solid red for fault; beeps escalate with low battery and overload.

Quick start guide
Why Choose Dahua PFM3350
The 170–280 VAC window suits feeders that sag well below nominal before a blackout.
Tiered overload thresholds separate a brief surge from a genuine wiring fault.
The 1 A charger restores a flat block in under six hours between shifts.
Passive cooling keeps the unit silent in a shop or open-plan office.
At 4.4 kg it mounts on a shelf or sits beside a counter without a bracket.

The 600VA rating is honest for a single desktop plus monitor. Line-interactive topology keeps voltage steady during the evening dips we get in my area. Compact enough to sit on the floor beside the desk.

Runs my router, ONT and laptop charger through outages without drama. The three-pin sockets are the usual Kenyan type so I didn’t need adapters. Beeping is a bit loud when the battery runs low.

Bought two for the shop’s tills. The 360W capacity handles a POS terminal and receipt printer together. Build feels solid and the switch is positive.
Mary Nekesa (verified owner) –
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Works fine for the home office setup. Only note is that the battery gives roughly ten minutes at my load, which is enough to save and shut down.
Dennis Omondi (verified owner) –
Good little unit. Handles my CCTV DVR and router without overloading. The AVR function is the main reason I picked this over a basic standby model.
Lucy Wairimu (verified owner) –
Does what it says on the box. Plugged in the office PC and printer and it kept both running through a brief outage. Simple, no fuss.

Line-interactive with AVR at this capacity is a sensible pick for home and small office. It dealt with the usual voltage swings in my estate without switching to battery constantly. The fan is audible under load but not distracting. Would have liked a USB monitoring port, but the basic model covers the essentials.
