Description
Smart Dual Light Fixed-Focal Dome Surveillance
The Dahua 2MP dome camera combines infrared and warm-white illumination in a compact indoor or outdoor housing. It captures 1920 x 1080 video at 25/30 fps from a 1/2.8-inch progressive-scan CMOS sensor. A fixed 2.8 mm lens provides wide-angle coverage for entrances, corridors and retail floors.
Smart Dual Light switches between IR and warm light based on target distance. IR reach is 30 m, and the warm illuminator adds colour detail at the same range. H.265 and H.264 codecs with Smart H.265+ reduce bit rate and storage load without dropping frame rate.
A built-in microphone records audio alongside video for event verification. The camera accepts 12 V DC or PoE (802.3af) over a single Ethernet run. IP67 sealing and an IK10-rated dome resist dust, water jets and impact in exposed mounting positions.
Key Features
2MP 1/2.8-inch CMOS Sensor
The progressive-scan imager outputs 1920 x 1080 at 25/30 fps with low-luminance performance for day and night capture.Smart Dual Light Illumination
- Infrared LED array reaches 30 m in complete darkness
- Warm-white light engages at 30 m to restore colour detail
- Intensity adjusts with target distance to limit overexposure
2.8 mm Fixed-Focal Lens
The wide-angle prime lens covers a broad field of view without mechanical adjustment or focus drift.Built-in Microphone
An integrated electret capsule captures audio on the same stream for incident review and remote monitoring.Smart H.265+ Encoding
Scene-adaptive rate control lowers bandwidth and NVR storage compared with standard H.265 at equal image quality.PoE and 12 V DC Input
The RJ45 port accepts 802.3af power, and a separate 12 V DC jack supports installations without a PoE switch.IP67 and IK10 Protection
The sealed plastic housing tolerates dust, water jets and 5 joule impacts on exterior walls and ceilings.Human and Vehicle Detection
On-board analytics classify moving targets and suppress nuisance alarms from foliage, rain or light changes.

Why Choose DH-IPC-D1E29P-A-IL-0280B
Dual illumination keeps a usable image in zero-lux conditions and restores colour when targets approach.
PoE support removes the need for a local mains outlet at ceiling or soffit mounting points.
Smart codec profiles extend retention windows on existing NVR storage without extra drives.
Human and vehicle filtering cuts false alarms in busy outdoor scenes.
The IK10 dome resists tampering in unsupervised corridors and service areas.

It works well but the motion white light can be intrusive if you point it at a neighbour’s wall. I adjusted the sensitivity and that sorted it. Picture quality and the 30 m IR are fine for the price bracket.
Kimani Njoroge (verified owner) –
Solid little dome. IR reaches the far end of the plot and the image stays sharp at night.
Muthoni Githinji (verified owner) –
Ordered two for the office corridor and reception. Delivery was quick and both units were well packed. The white light on motion is bright enough to light the corridor at night. Recording to the NVR has been stable.
Amina Yusuf (verified owner) –
Good camera overall. The 2.8 mm lens gives a wide view which is helpful for a shop entrance, though it does distort the edges a bit. Night image is clear with the IR on.
Otieno Were (verified owner) –
Set it up with our existing PoE switch and it came online straight away. 2MP is enough detail to read a number plate at the gate. The dome housing feels solid.
Wairimu Karanja (verified owner) –
The dual light is what sold me. IR for normal nights and the white light kicks in when it detects motion, so the footage stays in colour. The 30 m range covers the whole driveway.
