Description

Rack-Mount 24-Port PoE+ Distribution Switch

The Cudy GS1026PS2 is a 24-port Gigabit PoE+ switch with a 300 W internal power supply and two Gigabit SFP slots. It delivers IEEE 802.3at/af power to cameras, access points and VoIP handsets across a 300 W total budget. Two additional Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports carry traffic to the core network.

The unit provides 26 Gigabit RJ45 ports in total, with PoE available on ports 1 through 24 at up to 30 W per port. A 56 Gbps switching capacity and 41.664 Mpps forwarding rate handle full line-rate traffic across all ports. The 2048-entry MAC address table and 3 Mbit packet buffer support typical access-layer loads, and the 15 KB jumbo frame setting accommodates larger payloads.

Extend mode on ports 17 through 24 pushes PoE transmission to 250 m at 10 Mbps for long-range surveillance runs. VLAN mode isolates downlink ports from one another to limit lateral movement between client devices. A PoE watchdog monitors link activity on ports 1 to 24 and reboots inactive clients after five minutes.

The 440 x 180 x 44 mm metal chassis occupies one rack unit and ships with mounting brackets. Smart fan cooling adjusts speed to load, and shielded RJ45 ports plus IEC/EN 61000-4-5 Level 4 surge protection harden the unit against power transients. The switch accepts 100–240 V AC input.

Key Features

  • 24 PoE+ Ports at 30 W Each
Ports 1 to 24 deliver IEEE 802.3at/af power, with intelligent management that disconnects the last-powered device when demand exceeds the 300 W budget.

  • 300 W Internal Power Supply
The built-in AC supply removes the need for an external injector block and supports full PoE load on a single rack unit.

  • Two Gigabit SFP Slots

    • 1.25G SFP cages accept fibre transceivers for uplink runs beyond copper distance limits.
    • Optical reach depends on the installed module.
  • Extend Mode on Ports 17-24
The long-range profile carries PoE traffic up to 250 m at 10 Mbps when activated, which suits perimeter cameras and remote access points.

  • VLAN Mode for Port Isolation
The isolation profile separates downlink clients into distinct broadcast domains to reduce data leakage risk.

  • PoE Watchdog
The watchdog reboots connected clients that show no link activity for five minutes, which restores frozen cameras without a site visit.

  • Per-Port PoE LEDs and Toggle
Individual port LEDs show PoE status, and a physical button toggles the PoE LED display for darkroom or cabinet installations.

  • Surge and EMC Hardening
The unit meets IEC/EN 61000-4-5 Level 4 with 2 kV differential-mode and 4 kV common-mode surge ratings on the power line.

Why Choose the GS1026PS2

  • A 300 W PoE budget powers 24 cameras or access points without adding midspan injectors to the rack.

  • Two SFP cages allow fibre uplinks to a core switch where copper runs exceed 100 m.

  • Extend mode removes the need for a separate long-reach extender on perimeter camera runs.

  • The watchdog function reduces truck rolls to reboot frozen edge devices.

  • A metal chassis and Level 4 surge protection suit installations in areas with unstable mains.

Clear filters
  1. Samuel Mwangi (verified owner) –

Deployed this in our office to power 18 IP cameras and 4 access points. The 300W budget is more than enough for that load, and the 2 SFP slots let us uplink to the core switch over fibre without adding a media converter. Fans are audible in a quiet room but nothing unusual for a PoE switch at this port count.

  2. Esther Nyambura (verified owner) –

Rack-mounted it in our server room for the CCTV rollout. All 24 ports gigabit and PoE+ working as expected. SFP slots connected cleanly to our fibre patch panel.

  3. Dennis Kipruto (verified owner) –

Solid PoE switch for the price. Handles our wireless APs and desk phones without any port dropping under load. Build feels sturdy and the rack ears were included. Only note is that the management interface is basic — fine for an unmanaged deployment but not for VLAN-heavy setups.
