The Bixolon Wax Ribbon 110mm is a black thermal transfer ribbon supplied on a 12 mm core for 4-inch desktop label printers. It measures 110 mm wide and 74 m long, which matches the ribbon bay on the SLP-TX400 and TX420 chassis. The wax formulation transfers at low energy and produces sharp barcodes on coated and uncoated paper stocks.

Winding direction is coated-side-out, so the inked face meets the label as the ribbon passes the printhead. Total thickness measures about 7.8 µm, split between a 4.8 µm PET base film and a 3.0 µm ink layer. The wax melts near 70 °C, which keeps printhead energy demand low at speeds up to 8 ips.

The 74 m roll suits low to medium print volumes and fits compact desktop models that cannot take 300 m or 450 m spools. Compatible Bixolon units include the SLP-TX400, SLP-TX420, SLP-TX423, XD3-40, XD5-40t, XD5-40tR and XD5-43t. The same ribbon also runs in Zebra GK420t, GC420t, GX420t and TLP2844 printers. Operating range is 5 °C to 35 °C, and the assembly carries RoHS compliance.
