The 8G Self Tapping Screws are 1/4 inch pan head fasteners with a Pozi drive and a bright zinc plated finish. Each screw measures 4.2 mm across the thread and 6.35 mm under the head. Installers use them for rack blanks, plastic enclosures and light sheet metal assemblies.

The Type AB gimlet point starts in a pre-drilled pilot hole and cuts its own matching thread. Thread pitch measures 1.4 mm with an 8-18 thread count. The pan head spreads clamping load over an 8.2 mm diameter and stands 3.05 mm above the surface. A PZ2 bit drives the recess without cam-out at normal torque.

Cold-formed steel gives the screw enough hardness to cut into mild sheet without snapping. The zinc plating resists surface corrosion in dry indoor conditions.
