Description
HT-324B Punch Down Tool
The OEM HT-324B Impact Tool facilitates professional-grade termination of twisted-pair cabling into patch panels and keystone jacks. This manual impact device utilizes a spring-loaded mechanism to seat and trim copper conductors in a single motion. It supports standard 110 and 66 blocks across various network environments. The tool includes a reversible blade with both cutting and non-cutting edges to accommodate different installation requirements. Technicians can rely on the consistent pressure delivery for high-density wiring tasks.
The internal strike mechanism operates via a heavy-duty compression spring. When the technician applies downward pressure, the spring compresses until it reaches a release threshold. This trigger point delivers a calibrated kinetic strike to the blade. Such precision ensures the wire is seated at the correct depth within the IDC terminal. This process eliminates variations caused by manual force application. It reduces the risk of damaging the plastic housing of the patch panel. However, the low setting is preferable for delicate 26 AWG wires to prevent accidental shearing of the terminal block itself.
Key Features
Interchangeable Blade System
- Reversible 110/66 carbon steel blade
- Twist-and-lock retention mechanism
- Heat-treated alloy for extended edge retention
Adjustable Impact Mechanism
- High setting provides approximately 15kg of strike force
- Low setting delivers approximately 10kg for sensitive components
- Rotating dial for rapid pressure selection
Integrated Blade Storage
The handle features a hollow compartment to store a spare or secondary blade securely during field operations.Housing Construction
The body consists of glass-fiber reinforced resin to resist high-impact shocks and repeated mechanical stress.

Why Choose the HT-324B Unit
Mechanical Reliability: The internal drive spring maintains calibration over thousands of cycles to prevent under-terminated connections.
Standardized Versatility: Technicians can swap blades to accommodate different termination standards including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A infrastructure.
Installation Efficiency: The automatic cut function removes the need for separate snips, which streamlines the installation of high-density patch panels.
Ergonomic Design: The contoured grip reduces hand fatigue during large-scale data center deployments or complex rack builds.
