Performance is very solid when you are in the same room, but the range isn’t a massive jump from my old AC access point. It’s clearly meant more for high device density than long distance through many walls. If you have a large house with thick masonry, you might need two of these to get the full AX3000 benefit everywhere. Build quality is top notch though.

The unit is surprisingly compact, it doesn’t look bulky on the ceiling at all. Delivery to Thika was fast, arrived the next day after ordering. Giving it 4 stars only because it doesn’t come with a DC power adapter in the box—you must have a PoE switch or buy an injector separately. Otherwise, the signal strength is excellent for a modern home.

Performance is top notch but just a heads up for local buyers—this EAP653 model does not come with a DC power adapter in the box. It is designed for PoE. I had to source a separate PoE injector to get it running since my switch is old. Otherwise, the Wi-Fi 6 speeds are a massive jump from my previous setup.
