Description
Omada ES206GP Managed Switch
The TP-Link Omada ES206GP integrates seamlessly into professional network infrastructures requiring localized power delivery and centralized management. This hardware features six 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports to facilitate high-speed data transfers across the local area network. Four of these ports support the 802.3af/at PoE+ standard. The unit provides a total power budget of 64W. This capacity allows for the simultaneous operation of multiple high-draw devices like wireless access points or IP surveillance cameras. The internal switching fabric supports a 12 Gbps capacity. This ensures non-blocking wire-speed forwarding for all connected equipment. The fanless design maintains silent operation in quiet office environments. A durable metal casing protects the internal components and assists with thermal dissipation.

Solid little switch for the price. I’m using it to run my IP cameras and the performance is very stable. It’s much better than the basic unmanaged ones because I can actually segment the traffic and see what’s happening on the ports through the cloud controller. If you are already in the Omada ecosystem, this is a no-brainer for small sites or home labs.

Good unit, though I wish it had one more PoE port. 4 is okay for now but might get tight if I add more devices later. Still, the gigabit speeds are consistent and it stays cool even under heavy load in my cabinet.

This ES206GP is exactly what I needed for my small office setup in Kilimani. Managed to power two EAP610s and a VoIP phone without any drama. The Omada integration makes remote management very easy through the app. Good value for a managed switch.

Fast delivery to Nairobi CBD. The switch is quite compact and the metal casing feels premium compared to the plastic ones. Reliable PoE+ power so far.

Perfect for a small office setup. I integrated this ES206GP into my Omada SDN controller and it was detected immediately. I am currently powering two EAP Access Points and a VoIP phone without a hitch. Very stable performance so far and the PoE+ budget is more than enough for my needs.

Reliable PoE switch. The build quality is quite solid, feels like it can handle the dusty environment here in Nairobi without issues. Using it for my home security cameras and the gigabit speeds are consistent across all ports. Delivery was also quite fast.

Fast delivery to Thika. The switch is compact and works well for my CCTV setup. Plug and play for basic use but the management features are great if you know what you are doing.

Good value managed switch. It’s hard to find a 6-port PoE+ at this price point that actually supports VLANs properly. The Omada interface is very user-friendly for remote management. My only small issue is the power brick is a bit bulky, but the switch itself is top-notch.
