The optical system incorporates a fixed focal lens. Options include 2.8 mm, 3.6 mm, and 6 mm widths. The 2.8 mm lens provides a 92-degree horizontal field of view. This wide angle minimizes blind spots in small to medium-sized rooms. The internal IR cut filter manages light transition between day and night modes. It automatically engages to maintain color accuracy during daylight hours. The camera maintains a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 62 dB. This high ratio ensures minimal graininess in the video stream.
Night vision performance relies on integrated infrared technology. The device illuminates subjects up to 20 meters away in total darkness. Smart IR logic controls the intensity of these LEDs. It’s a 720p dome so it’s basic, but for monitoring staff and general movement, it does the job perfectly without spending too much. The build is plastic but sturdy enough for indoor use.
