Description
TP-Link EAP235-Wall
The TP-Link EAP235-Wall AP provides high-speed wireless coverage through a standard wall junction box. This dual-band 802.11ac Wave 2 device delivers speeds up to 1200 Mbps across two radio frequencies. It features four Gigabit Ethernet ports for robust wired connectivity. One uplink port accepts Power over Ethernet. One downlink port provides PoE passthrough capabilities. This hardware replaces a traditional wall plate to save space. It maintains a low-profile presence in hospitality environments. The device measures only 20 mm in thickness. This ensures it does not protrude significantly from the wall surface. It suits hotels, dormitories, and hospitals where aesthetics and space matter.
Key Features
Gigabit Port Expansion
The unit includes three downlink Gigabit ports and one uplink Gigabit port for high-speed wired device connections.Power over Ethernet Support

Installed these in our new office block in Westlands. Very neat because they fit right into the wall socket and don’t take up any desk space. The Omada setup is smooth and the signal strength across the rooms is solid. Highly recommended for a clean professional look.

Good for Airbnbs. I like that it has those extra gigabit ports at the bottom for a smart TV or a laptop. Very discreet once mounted.

The product is great but be aware it doesn’t come with a power adapter in the box—you must have a PoE switch or a separate PoE injector to power it up. I had to make a second order for a switch. Once I got that sorted, the signal in the master bedroom is now full bars.

Build quality is solid. Just note you need a deep wall box for the cables to sit comfortably behind the unit, especially if you are using thick Cat6 cables. Otherwise, performance is top notch for the price and the Omada integration makes management very easy.

Installed these in our new office block in Upper Hill. Very neat because they fit right into the standard wall socket space. No messy cables hanging around. The three extra gigabit ports at the bottom are a lifesaver for connecting the desktop and a printer directly without needing another small switch on the desk. Performance is stable even when the office is full.

The PoE passthrough works well for my IP phone in the study. Saves me from running two separate cables through the conduit. Only downside is it gets a bit warm if under heavy load, but it hasn’t dropped the connection yet. A very practical solution for modern Kenyan homes where we want everything hidden.

Good speeds on the 5GHz band. Using it with the Omada controller and it was detected immediately. Delivery to Thika was fast, arrived the next day after I placed the order. It looks very professional on the wall.

Very discreet. You won’t even notice it’s an access point. Perfect for guest rooms.
